The New Blue Bridge

CLUE: A policeman hiding next to the bridge left you the 3rd letter of the 5th word on the historic plaque.

Built in 1951, this is "the first pre stressed counter balanced concrete cantilever bridge in the country". It was also post-tensioned, with the cables being tightened after construction.

A prototype for the motorway bridges of today, this bridge is of great historical importance. This replaced the original bridge built in 1910 (photo 1).
